An earner with this credential demonstrates an understanding of basic color and lighting. They are able to differentiate between light sources and properly light a 3D scene.

Criteria for Completion

By the successful completion of this badge, an earner is able to:

Differentiate light types: Spot, Distance, Point, Area, and Skydome.
Correctly apply light parameters to achieve the representation of a concept.
Effectively use light to communicate the intended mood of a shot.
Ensure a direct focus to the main elements in the shot through light.
Understand how color palates play a key role in the storytelling of a scene
Effectively communicate the intention behind each lighting choice made.
Receive and implement feedback provided by facilitators and peers.
